A quality system that works on the shop floor, not just in the audit
QScale helps industrial equipment fabricators and precision manufacturers, including aerospace and medical device suppliers, build a quality management system people actually use. It's lean enough to run every day, solid enough to pass certification, and built on twenty years of supplier audits and fabrication quality.
Built from twenty years on the shop floor and in the audit room
For two decades, my work has been the quality behind heavy industrial equipment — the kind installed on projects that move gas, oil and ore. Most of that equipment wasn't built in-house; it came from subcontractors and fabricators, which means quality had to be managed at arm's length, under schedule pressure, and proven with paper that would survive an audit.
The lesson carries across industries: a functional quality system rests on the same few things everywhere. Clear processes, controlled suppliers, honest audits and problems that stay fixed. That's what QScale brings to growing manufacturers, whether you fabricate industrial equipment or machine parts for aerospace and medical customers. The system is practical enough to run day to day and rigorous enough to satisfy ISO 9001, your customers and their auditors.
I work directly with owners and quality managers — not as a distant auditor, but as someone who has sat on both sides of the inspection table.
Where I can help
Whether you're starting ISO 9001 certification from scratch or fixing a system that only comes alive before the audit, the work is scoped to where you are today.
ISO 9001 certification support
A gap analysis against ISO 9001, then a clear roadmap to certification or recertification, with no surprises at the registrar audit.
Quality management system (QMS) implementation
Building or streamlining a QMS around how your shop really works, so it helps people do the job instead of slowing them down.
Internal audit services
Independent internal audits and audit programs that find the real risks before your customer or registrar does.
Supplier audits & qualification
Auditing, qualifying and scoring your suppliers and subcontractors, so what arrives at your door meets what your customers expect.
Corrective action (CAPA) & nonconformance
Root cause analysis and corrective actions that close problems for good, not just close the report.
Process mapping
Turning how work really flows through your shop into clear process maps everyone can follow.
Quality manuals, procedures & work instructions
Short, plain and written for the people who use them, not just filed for an auditor.
Outsourced quality management
Part-time or project-based quality support when you need an experienced quality manager but not a full-time hire.
How engagements typically run
Every organization's quality maturity is different, so scope and pace are set together — but most engagements follow the same shape.
Assess
A gap analysis of your current quality system, documents and processes against ISO 9001 and your customers' requirements. You get a short, prioritized list of what matters, not a 50-page report.
Build
Developing or revising the manuals, procedures, audit programs and supplier processes your organization needs, in plain, usable language.
Support
Staying involved through implementation, internal audits and certification — so the system holds up once I'm not in the room.
